    LouAnn Perugini, APRN, is a triple-board certified dermatology and aesthetic nurse practitioner and owner of DermAesthetics in Southbury, Ct.   She believes in a natural and conservative approach and has a long history of injection experience, beginning with collagen in the 1990's. 

     LouAnn received her first MSN degree from Vanderbilt University and later a post-graduate MS degree from the University of Colorado. She obtained board certifications in Acute Care (ACNP) and Family Practice (FNP) from the American Nurse Credentialing Center, Adult Health from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and Dermatology Nurse Practitioner Board Certification (DCNP) by the Dermatology Nurses Association. LouAnn also completed the Army Primary Flight Surgeon course at the U.S. Army School of Aviation Medicine, a satellite campus of the Army Medical Department Center and School in Fort Rucker, Alabama, receiving certification as an Aviation Medicine Nurse Practitioner.  She is an active Department of Transportation Medical Examiner (DOTME) and has certifications in adult emergency/critical care nursing (CCRN, TNCC) and medicine (FCCS). LouAnn is the Connecticut State representative for the National Academy of Dermatology Nurse Practitioners (NADNP) and is a clinical preceptor for nurse practitioner student dermatology rotations.

     LouAnn has extensive operating room experience assisting plastic surgeons with surgical procedures, gaining solid knowledge of surgical anatomy and is a Certified Aesthetic Nurse Specialist (CANS) from the American Society of Plastic Surgical Nurses.with injection experience beginning with collagen in 1998.  LouAnn was the first Dermasculpt trainer in Connecticut, beginning in 2012, teaching nurses and physicians how to use the micro-cannula, a needle-less delivery system for delivering comfortable injections (www.cosmofrance.net). She performs semi-permanent makeup and micro-blading brow technique, having received training membership through the Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals (SPCP).  

     LouAnn was an Army wife and also a veteran herself. In 1999 she was directly commissioned in the Army Nurse Corp and attended the US Army Primary Flight Surgeon Course. She later served for almost a decade as an Aviation Medicine Nurse Practitioner with the Army's elite 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment. During her many moves, she's had the opportunity to train with the most gifted Dermatologists and Plastic Surgeons in the country. In 2014, after 28 moves in 34 years all over the world with the Army, she and her husband had finally retired to settle permanently back home in Connecticut. She has two grown sons, both currently serving in the military.

     LouAnn has a true passion for skin and skin care. She works part-time at Milford Medical & Aesthetic Care as a Dermatology Nurse Practitioner doing body checks, biopsies, treating rashes, acne and all kinds of primary dermatology issues. She provides free facial moles and lesion screenings during all cosmetic procedures upon request. As a breast cancer survivor herself, LouAnn has a special interest in breast cancer reconstruction tattooing and scar therapy and volunteers her time performing free breast tattooing services for cancer survivors. She lectures nationally on scar treatments and is currently in the process of starting a nonprofit organization to treat combat scars of Veterans and Military.

    LouAnn is a Middlebury native with a passion for aesthetics and a love of art. Her paintings, artwork, and jewelry are seen on her or her walls at DermAesthetics in Southbury.

   Dr. Fischer graduated from St. Lawrence University magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 1977. He received his medical degree at Brown University in 1981 and completed his General Surgery training at the University of Massachusetts and his Plastic Surgical residency as well as a Fellowship in Hand and Microsurgery at the University of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania, entering private practice in the Connecticut area in 1989. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and served as a voluntary faculty member for the Yale Plastic Surgical Residency Program until 2005, receiving the Resident Teaching Award in 1991. He presently is the Chief of Plastic Surgery at Milford Hospital, Milford, Ct.  He is the owner of Milford Medical and Aesthetic Care in Milford, Ct.   www.drpaulfischer.com
